Reading Club 

OCTOBER 2003

In the reading club this year we are hoping to go and see a play at the Grand Theatre.

We are also planning to go and see the new Harry Potter film when it comes out.

At the moment we are reading Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.

What an excellent start to the Reading Club we have had this year!

We have 12 members in Year 8 ( who enjoyed Reading Club so much last year that they want to continue ) and we have 9 new members from Year 7.

Year 7 pupils are reading "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" whilst Year 8 pupils have chosen a selection of humorous fiction including "Rescuing Dad".

Year 8 pupils will take it in turn to lead their activity.

We are really excited about the visit of Kevin McCann who will celebrate National Poetry Day with us on Friday 9th October.  Other surprise visitors are planned for later in the term. We are also looking forward to organising Theatre and Cinema trips later in the term.
