At Reading Club we are recovering from a time machine visit from 

Queen Victoria

The Day Queen Victoria came to Highfield High School

On the 13th of November, Queen Victoria (Mrs Sylvia Jones) came to Highfield High School.

She dressed up the same as her to teach people what Queen Victoria did in her life.

We talked about Victorian books and she showed us the history of her jewelry.

Year 7 have just read "The Twits" which is fantastic. 

They are now reading "Bumface" by Morris Gleitzman.  It is hilarious. 

Year 8 are reading a book about King Arthur.
