Highfield High
Easter School
David Miliband Minister for School Standards visits Highfield High School's Easter School.
April 2003
Highfield High School's first ever Easter School has been a massive success with many pupils from Year 11 receiving extra help in the lead up to their GCSEs.
School Standards Minister David Miliband visited Highfield High to see the Easter School for himself. This is what he had to say:
" I am delighted to have the opportunity to see the school. It is a real tribute to the young people who have given up their holiday, we hear a lot of negative stories about pupils, it good to hear a positive one. It is great to come to a school so committed to the well being of youngsters. I am impressed by the educational vision they have here"
Mr Miliband joins Mr Wardle's Science Revision Class.
Mrs Aldridge gives the Minister a lesson in Maths.
Amy and Mr Clarke in the ICT Revision Class.
